JAMAL studios x Waterbury wine tote

Our first tote bag design was a bit ambitious and would have never seen the light of day if it wasn't for Janet Braunstein, the talent behind JAMAL Studios (now JEHF New York) who operated a pop-up out of the same space as our wine store before we took over the keys.

The idea behind the collaboration was to take your traditional wine tote bag and elevate it to a place where it doubles as your go-to city side companion.  With Janet's knowledge of clothing design, she selected materials commonly found within her past collections.  The exterior of the bag is made out of black quilted nylon with a small back zip pouch, dual nylon webbing straps and a top zip closure – safety first for bottle transportation.  The interior is cotton lined with heavy duty canvas wine dividers that can securely transport three bottles without having them rattle inside.

Side note:  Janet's brother just so happens to be Noah Braunstein, one of the co-owners behind Neversink Spirits.  Talent clearly runs in the family.
