Noshin’ The Neighborhood vol 6: A-Pou’s Taste

Buckle up for a cozy one as we share our last nosh of the year before stepping into 2025

Noshin’ the Neighborhood #6 takes us 4 blocks north and two blocks over, to A-Pou’s Taste (Doris Yao’s brick-n-mortar location on Grand Street “Grandma’s Taste”, of same namesake as her legendary potsticker truck). Get cozy with some Taiwanese Mustard Soup and a wine pairing in-parallel, that rounds-off aside the greens with a ruby dash of color contrast. The heartiness and mending qualities of this dish remind us that sometimes “The soup is the meal, Jerry” (or can be, but don’t forget some potstickers), especially with a splash of optimism from a four-seasons rosé, to help raise one’s chin (and gumption) for the leap into 2025. Warm wishes for this new year & Guá kìng—lí !
