Raymond “Chucky” Flores : Fast Life, Still Life

For our second visual exhibition of the year, we were excited to showcase Raymond “Chucky” Ray’s work in the still life medium opening September 10th and running through September 22nd. A word from the artist below.

"These paintings represent stillness and self-imposed quarantine during a time of recovery and rest. They are a departure from the artist's day-to-day work in hand-painted mural advertisement, and turn away from the branding and commodification of everyday foods and household items. The items and themes chosen for these paintings create a rhythm representing health, addiction, reward, recovery and sustenance.
